Description

The monument consists of several parts scattered across town. Its main part is a steel Magen David, which is located on the platform of the train station Hořice v Podkrkonoší. Its other parts are three small triangles located on the steps of the Jewish cemetery, at the entrance to the former synagogue (now the Church of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church) and in the remnant of the original pavement in front of Hirsch's villa (495 Karlova Street). The large Magen David was made of a stainless steel sheet and bears a majuscule inscription on three of its arms. This monument is fixed on the ground on nine concrete footings in a bed of gravel with the fineness of 0.8–1.6 cm. The accompanying equilateral triangles, with a side of 25 cm, are also made of a stainless steel sheet and bear majuscule inscriptions. The triangles, like the Magen David, are set into the ground.
