The sculpture depicts a female figure in a squatting position, with her hands tied behind her back and her head covered with a cloth bag. The figure rests on a small base, which stands on a larger granite plinth. The sculpture fits into a larger body of the artist's work with anti-war themes, using the motif of female figures with covered heads.

Václav Kyselka was one of the most productive and outstanding North Bohemian sculptors of the post-war period and many of his works were placed in public spaces. He is the author of many memorials from the communist period in Ústí nad Labem, Krupka, Česká Lípa, Kadaň, Most and Teplice, among others. For Terezín he created a monument with a sandstone statue of a Red Army soldier in Jiráskovy Gardens, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the liberation. Kyselka's more intimate sculptures with more political and anti-war themes were often based on female figures (Demonstrant Woman, Vinceremos). The sculpture Violence in the park in front of the Terezín Small Fortress Museum is very similar to the sculpture Tough Moment of Chile, which is now in the collection of the Terezín Memorial. Václav Kyselka received numerous awards for his work, and shortly after the completion of the Violence sculpture he was awarded the Klement Gottwald State Prize in 1986.
