The monument is made up of a triangular granite block, which bears an inscription engraved and coloured in black on all the sides. Inscription on one side explains that the monument is dedicated to the memory of the Jewish inhabitants of Stádlec who were deported to concentration camps on 16 November 1942. The second side depicts Magen David and lists the names of the victims. The third side depicts the emblem of Stádlec and informs that the monument was donated by the citizens of Stádlec. The name of one survivor is attached. From a bird's-eye view, the ground plan of the monument forms a six-pointed star, because in three places it is completed with marked points for placing stones.

The idea to build a monument to the victims of the Holocaust came from the mayor of Stádlec, Milan Kelich, who took office in 2010. Thinking of the debt he owed to his murdered fellow citizens, he began to collect information about the Jewish victims of World War II in Stádlec. He convinced the municipal council to create a monument in the form of a triangular block containing the names of 14 murdered people, the name of one survivor and a dedication by fellow citizens of Stádlec. The monument also includes impressive night lighting. The total cost of the work was CZK 480,500, with a subsidy of CZK 240,000 from the South Bohemian Region's Rural Development Programme. During the unveiling of the monument on November 19, 2019, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Fight for Freedom and Democracy, the national anthem of the State of Israel was played, the mayor read out the names, ages and places of death of all the victims of Stádlec and placed stones with their names at the monument. This unique project impressed the jury of the 5 years with the Rural Development Programme of the South Bohemia Region competition and it was awarded 2nd place.
